hi bryce, one question please
i have a MMS client wich use MM1 (wap/http) protocol to connect to a MMSC server.
i have the possibility to send SMS.
i want to use your product as a MMSC server. what else do i need? do i need a wap server?

Hi Peter,

A WAP proxy (gateway) is usually used in such a configuration, but it is not a strict requirement.

Usually the proxy sits between the MMS client and the MMSC. And in a live network environment, the proxy integrated into the operator network so that it can help other network components (like the MMSC) be able to associate an MSISDN (phone number) with inbound requests.

But it is not a strict requirement, unless the MMS client requires it. If the MMS client can connect directly over HTTP, that is fine. And in this case, it can supply its identification via the MMS Server URL that it uses to communicate with the MMSC.

Please note that you need to have the capability to send binary SMS out of the MMSC.
