Hi, I am sending wap push sms including URL by the NowSMS product. There are handsets that it work fine with them. They get the SMS and ask me , automaticaly, whether i want to open the link, etc... But it doesn't work for siemens S45. This phone support OpenWave. The phone runs the last version firmware. I get normal SMS with garbage in it. According to OpenWave documantation it should for every handset supporting OpenWave, wap 1.2. Any idea what is the problem. Regards , Elad Persiko. | |||

Hi Elad, I'm not aware of any general problems with NowSMS WAP Push to Openwave browsers (at least the newer ones ... some of those that are several years old only supported a proprietary push). Are you sending an SI push or an SL push? Many phones don't support SL (service load), so that could be an issue. Also, are you including both a URL and some text? If you don't include text in an SI push, some phones won't handle the notification correctly. Also, have you tried swapping SIMs between that phone and another that is working? I'm wondering if the problem would follow the SIM or the phone. If it's the SIM, is it on a different operator than you have been sending to? Let's start with those thoughts ... see if that gets us anywhere ... -bn | |||
