Hi, I can not receive correctly a SMS longer than 160 characters, which was sent from the NowSMS gui. The message on Nokia 6230 is "can not display message", on SPV is something simmilar, and on the Palm Treo I just see rubbish. I am connecting with UCP to the SMSC. Any help? | |||

Hi Ivan, There is an alternate encoding that we can use for UCP/EMI when sending long text messages. Edit SMSGW.INI. Create a new section in this file titled [UCP], and then add the following under that section header: LongSMSTextEncoding=Yes This particular configuration setting is a little unusual for us, as it does not go under the SMSGW.INI section for the SMSC definition itself, but in a separate section. -bn | |||
