My Ericsson T68i phone dosent seem to connect properly when using the modem functions. My windows 98 (4.10.98) sees the modem, i have 4 software programs (( 1 DOS (telix)) rest windows)( 32bit internet fax vi9.08.61, (supports the T68i phone model)) all of them can send and recieve AT commands succesfully. The problem is that when the dial command is sent to the phones modem the phone appears to dial properly ( phone shows dialing screen) but with in 1 or 2 seconds hangs up with no error codes. The different software reports thats the data (fax) or dialing was unsuccsessfull. It sort of seems to me that "no carrier" or no "dial tone" is the the problem, the thing is iv never heard my phone produce a "dial tone" but it works just fine when i manually enter phone numbers (still with no dial tone heard, but i do hear the ring sounds). This so annoying cause i really need the modem/fax ability right now for job hunting. Why the owners manual only mentions that a modem function exsists with no info or software to use it ( theres is a "phone monitor" and communications suite 3.???.? ) but dosent do squat that i can see. Hi, I'm sorry, this is the support area for our Now SMS/MMS Gateway product. I have no idea how to answer your questions. Do note that your mobile operator needs to have support on their network for data and/or fax calls, and they might not have it. I'd suggest you might want to try posting your questions on one of the general phone support forums, such as http://www.howardforums.com or http://www.esato.com. Good luck! -bn | |||
