Hi, i can configure a GPRS cellular phone for send mms with nowsms if this phone no have MMS capabilities but is GPRS capable?. I using a Siemens M50 GPRS phone, i configure the MMS ROUTING in the nowsms console for sending MMS with my operator, this working with a Siemens S55, but with the M50 i receive this error: "Warnig: Modem is not responding to GPRS commands... Hi, i am tried to send Picture message using now Sms G/w . some one help me out for this . how can i convert images to hex string . i tried to change it but it was not working . pl suggest me how can i do it . Thanks /rgds Vikas | |||

Generally speaking, yes. It is not a requirement that the phone actually support MMS. However, in order to work properly, the phone needs to support some of the more basic "AT commands" related to GPRS. We need to be able to tell the phone which GPRS APN to connect to, and we do this using the AT+CGDCONT command. So we exepct the device to support the "AT+CGDCONT" command, and to support "ATD*99#" for initiating a GPRS connection. The warning message that you are receiving indicates that the device is not properly responding to the AT+CGDCONT command. You might be able to get it to work if you have an alternate way of setting the default GPRS APN. (But it is easier to use a device that supports these commands.) | |||

Despite the subject of this thread, I'm assuming that you're talking about black and white picture messages, and not MMS.
