Hello!

Now i am developing my tesis to get the grade of engineer, the idea of my work is about a cell phone that sends an sms message to a especified number, the sms is received on my laptop, the data is procesed in a application and saved in a database, then the application must send a confirmation message to the sender phone.
I hace some quistions.

Can i use my t68i as a modem for mi laptop?
Nowsms can be the interface between the modem and my application?
The trial version can help me??

I want to know how can i start to make this. it is only for academic purposes.

Please help me and i promise you that you'll be in my greetings.

Hi Jorge,

Yes, you could do this. A T68i will work fine as a modem ... one of the nice things about that phone is that it can be used as a modem with a USB or serial cable, or it can also use bluetooth or infrared ... very flexible.

NowSMS interfaces to your application via HTTP. Details about the interface can be found here:

http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/ProductDocumentation/2_way_sms_support.htm

The trial version will run for 60 days. Note that it counts days of actual use, so stop and remove the NowSMS service when you are not using it, and it will last longer to allow you to complete your project.
