Dear All, I am having problem while connecting to the CDMA SMSC. The product works fine with GSM SMSC but when I try connecting to the CDMA SMSC, it shows the following error: Unable to login to SMPP server with specified parameters ERROR: Timeout waiting for response from server or lost connection I tried pinging, all fine. I tried doing telnet on the same port, all fine. But when I connect, it gives me the above error. please help! | |||

Hi, This means that the server is not responding to your login request, or it is closing the connection on you. Some servers do this if you are not logging in with the correct login parameters. Instead of returning an error, they simply abort the connection. (A reason for doing this is to avoid port scanners that might be looking for an SMPP server.) This can also happen if your provider has not opened up your IP address in their firewall. You should talk to your provider to see what they are seeing on their end. Most likely your IP address needs to be provisioned on their end to allow access. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
