Hi All,

I am new user for NOW/SMS and I would like to know how to get started configure the NOW/SMS.

Please assume that I had downloaded the NOW/SMS software and run the setup already.

I currently got my own gateway setting to my telco site already but is using different API to SMSC. I got my server hosted in data center and connect to 3 different telco site.

I try to rearrange my gateway setting and looking for one software that able to do that. And also software that give me better control in term of user friendy and easy to migrate like update to support MMS. Currently I just using SMS.

What is the different within MMS / SMS setting?
How to get started with SMS setting?
What info that i need to get from my telco site for connection setting?
If I signup MMS services with my telco then what info and instruction that i need to configure the setting?

Hi Max,

The SMS settings are defined on the "SMSC" page. You need to know what type of connection you are using to your SMS service provider.

The following link talks about the different types:

http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/ProductDocumentation/configuring_smsc_connec tions/index.htm

MMS is more complicated. See http://www.nowsms.com/howmmsworks.htm for an overview of how MMS works.

If you get a connection to an operator MMSC, it will likely be MM7 or EAIF (if it is MM7, there is a good chance it may be Ericsson's non-standard MM7 implementation, note that we have a separate config option for that). The external MMSC connections get defined on the "MMSC Routing" page.
