I'm sending MMS from my handset(to my own number) using a remote MMSC and remote MMSC operator push the message back to my SMSC which is NOWSMS. I am getting the pushed SMS in my SMSout file of NOWSMS setup in my system which acts as the SMSC here. From here i'm trying to push the SMS recieved in my SMSOUT file to my handset(sony Ericsson T610) using a Nokia 6210 handset which acts as GSM modem (this handset is connected to the system where i have setup the SMSC using a data cable) which in turn will push it to the local operator's network from i'm expecting the message to come to my handset(sony Ericsson T610).

The problem here is that i'm not getting the message pushed from my SMSC's(NOWSMS) SMSOUT to my handset(T610). Could you please tell me where could be the problem. I checked with my network mobile operator, he says that the message format sent by the remote MMSC is not understandable to his network and it should be SMPP v3.3 or 3.4 for his network to understand . Where do u think the problem is ? Is there any get around other than to change the message format of the remote MMSC ??

I'm sorry, but I'm confused by your explanation above.

Before you jump to sending MMS messages, let me ask first, are you able to send SMS messages ok?

If SMS is ok, then move on to the MMS issues. Refer to the overview of how MMS works at the following link: http://www.nowsms.com/howmmsworks.htm.

As mentioned in the above referenced link, many mobile operators block MMS messages from external MMSCs, requiring that you configure NowSMS to route MMS messages through an operator MMSC.

Basically I need to know more about how you have things configured in order to answer any questions ...
