we connected to comviva SMSC. there where problems that SMS messages are being sent repeatedly by the SMSC.

The Comviva SMSC support told us that our SMPP module is not giving receipt acknowledgement (ACK)

Hi,

I need more information to answer your question.

How are you connected to this SMSC? What protocol are you using?

I would suggest enabling all of the debug logs in NowSMS (checkboxes on the Serial # page of the configuration dialog), so that we can get a better view of what your system is doing, and more importantly, how it is configured.

Packet traces with a tool like WireShark can also be helpful ... however, without knowing what protocol(s) you are using, I cannot offer any suggestions.

Hi,

We are connected using SMPP protocol using the SMSCRelaySMPP object. since this issue occurs every once in a while, and our systems have busy traffic (at about 1000 transactions per minute on peak hours), enabling wireshark for long would affect the performance of the servers.

I have just dropped by if someone already encountered the same issue with Comviva SMSC. FTW, your library works well on other SMSCs for years. :)

Anyways, let me continue my investigation with them and share to you the information.
