Hello I sent sms with samsung d 880 model but when i receive sms nowsms does'nt run my script and the phone restart all the time. Thank for your assistance | |||

Hi, I have no information about the D880. However, I can say that the majority of current generation phones that support GSM modem functionality only support sending. You are generally better off with a dedicated GSM modem device (e.g., USB stick modem). That said ... If the phone is restarting all of the time, that is not a good sign. That suggests that the firmware that handles the GSM modem implementation is not stable. If the restarts appear to be related to receiving SMS messages, you might want to try configuring different "SMS Message Storage" options in NowSMS to see if one of the settings is more reliable. I notice that the Samsung D880 is a dual SIM phone. To check for received messages, NowSMS has to poll the modem, and perhaps the phone gets confused when NowSMS polls the SIM for received messages, because there are two SIMs. The GSM modem interface only defines on generic "SIM" location to be polled, so the phone might be confused by this. The "Device Memory" setting might have a better chance of working, if the phone actually supports that setting. (The "Direct to Modem" option should also be tried, but it is rarely supported by phone modem implementations, it is usually only supported in dedicated modem devices.) -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
