I noticed that recent versions have very friendly web interface (user and admin), statuses of connections, counters and so on. That information is essential for traffic monitoring system but we already done it through other tools but it’s a little bit barbarian. Do you have in plans to implement any kind of API to collect such information (HTTP/XML)? Parsing of web pages is legacy, we won’t do that. Just imagine how powerful could be dynamic routing system (callbacks) and live monitoring data. I can describe needed measures based on my experience. Regards, Alex K. | |||

Hi Alex, There are a variety of plans that I can't go into too much detail on yet. We need to make sure that we are fully recovered from some of the stability problems in recent updates first. We do intend to move toward more of an XML based interface moving forward. And we do intend to move full configuration control to the web. Presently, there is an XML status query for the statistical information displayed in the admin interface. Hi Des, Yes, i know about these links. But statistics isn't helpful with monitoring. It would be great if you add some more parameters per connection like "LastDeliveredAt", "QueueSize", "DeliveryRatioLast5Mins" and so on. And also add an ability to enable/disable each link through HTTP request. What do you think? Regards, Alex K. | |||

Hi Alex, I'd like to see some of this in the future. For the present, I will point out that queue size information is available. Also, outbound message delivery rate can be calculated by performing a query at regular intervals and calculating the difference. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
