hi can i use this app to have an sms (from anyone) sent to my number and that message automatically forwarded to a list of people ? if so , any instructions on how to out there ! cheers | |||

i sure the app can do this as well, but i need a little direction for setting up the commands etc. any help would be appreciated. cheers ! | |||

Hi Cam, Enable "Receive SMS Messages" for the "SMSC" definition of the GSM modem. Then define a "2-way" SMS command that has a "mailto:" link as described at the bottom of the following page: http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/ProductDocumentation/2_way_sms_support.htm In order for NowSMS to send e-mail, you have to also configure the address of an SMTP server to act as a relay host. If you are only sending to a single address, you could just put in the address of that server. The "SMTP Relay Host" setting needs to be configured on the "MMSC" page of the configuration dialog, but the MMSC service does not need to be activated. -bn |
