Hi Dinos, I'm sorry, but we have no experience with those units. If the USB interface provides a separate virtual COM port for each modem, then it will work. (If it provides only a single virtual COM port and requires some sort of special commands to select which modem to use for each request, it will not.) I suspect these devices (which all seem similar, but come from different Chinese sellers) would have to support separate virtual COM ports for each modem, because there seems to be no technical information available for any of these devices. The primary concern that I would have is whether or not the device has Windows drivers. Scanning through various similar listings, some do mention Windows drivers. Basically, a USB device needs a driver, and I'd expect the driver to create a virtual COM port for each modem. NowSMS would see each port as a separate modem device (because technically each Wavecom Q2303 module is a separate modem device). -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

Gotta? No. I do not know if this modem is compatible with NowSMS or not. Please read my reply to your other posting that asked questions about GSM modem pool devices available on Windows: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/71201.html If the modem pool has a Windows driver that provides a separate COM port for each modem, then it should work. Personally, I've been a bit hesitant about buying these types of products from eBay, where you can't really be sure what you are getting. So I certainly cannot guarantee compatibility, or guarantee that the seller will provide a usable product. -bn |
