Hi Support Team, Case: The credit in the SIM has been finished and SMS failed to send response and retried many times as you can see the attached jpg file. and if we recharge the credit in to the SIM then how much time it will take to resend retried sms ? because now it seems stuck please give me the solution its urgent Thanking in anticipation. | |||

Retry related settings and timings are described here: http://www.nowsms.com/sms-retry-error-handling-with-ucpemi-and-cimd So there are settings you can apply to adjust delay times if you want. Ignore the article title mentioning UCP/EMI and CIMD ... the article covers retry settings for all SMSC types ... it just describes some extra settings specific to those types as well. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

I have added following parameters and restart now sms services RetryDelay=30 RetryDelayMultiplier=0 RetryMaxAttempts=25 but now sms are not retrying to send response is there any thing which is missing by me ? | |||

Hi, You seem to be doing the right thing. Just make sure that those settings are under the [SMSGW] section header in SMSGW.INI (and that there is only one [SMSGW] section header). Here are a few thoughts ... Are you sure the problem with outbound sending is resolved? Consider that with default retry settings, a message that has had excessive retries is going to have up to a 10 minute retry delay. So even without settings change, these messages should have been retried. Check the SMSOUT-yyyymmdd.LOG ... is it still showing messages being retried and errors occuring? There can be some confusion because the retry statistic counter shown by NowSMS will only increment once per message, not for each retry with a particular message. Take a look for that log so we can get a better idea. Assuming that the log shows continued retry errors, it may also be worth removing the SIM from the modem and testing it in a phone for sending messages to make sure it has been charged. (Before you do that turn the modem off and back on to re-register with the network and see if that clears the problem.) -- Des NowSMS Support |
