MMS Error: 111

Good morning,
I am currently using NowSMS with AT&T (US) and an Option Icon 322.
I am able to send/receive SMS.
I am able to receive MMS.

However, when i try to send, i get the following error:

LastErrorInfo=ERROR - Modem Response (2): +CMS ERROR: 111 -- GlobeTrotter Icon322 - Modem Interface

any ideas?}

But the short answer is that 111 is an unspecified protocol error an 38 is "network out of order".

It is important to note that these are the errors being reported by the modem, so it's hard to say what type of network issue is being encountered.

That said, I think I know what is happening. You can send regular SMS, just not MMS, right?

AT&T actively blocks mobile originated WAP Push messages. If NowSMS is configured to operate as an MMSC (direct delivery), then it will send an MMS Notification (that uses WAP Push format) to initiate the MMS delivery process.

That said, even though there is a potential work-around (unless AT&T has closed it) ... you probably don't want to configure NowSMS this way ... you will get better results sending MMS messages via the operator MMSC.
