Bryce, perhaps you remember that you and i had a looong discussion way back, that actually resulted in nowSMS supporting custom .wml files etc.. It used to work.

Now you have the Web Multimedia Link system going, and i really like it.
Basically it's a .html file with a link to a .css file.

Question is, and that would be awesome, could we do something here to customize these.
I imagine we could point to a .html file where nowSMS could do some REPLACEment of keywords. We used to do it. Can we do it now? Think of the possibilities;)

Hi Lars,

At this time we'd recommend editing the system level template to meet your needs.

The default template is located at MMSSMS\msgtemplate.htm.

If you want to customize it, copy it to MMSCDATA and rename it mmwap-template.htm.

We recommend making edits to mmwap-template.htm instead of msgtemplate.htm so that future updates don't accidentally overwrite any of your customizations.

I've looked back through some old threads and see references to &MMWaptemplate= parameter for selective templates, in particular a thread here: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/485/23984.html

I tried a brief test ... created a version of mmwap-template.htm and named it testtemplate.htm in MMSCDATA. I then tried submitting with &MMWapTemplate=testtemplate and then &MMWapTemplate=testtemplate.htm

The second attempt with the file extension did seem to work.

We can revisit this issue more with Bryce in a few weeks if necessary. Right now he didn't even want to talk about it as we are working so hard on the new beta release. But maybe the above will give you an idea.
