Hello,

We need to use our hosted Exchange server for sending SMS to Email messages. We have v2011.07.05 which does not have the Email tab found in later versions. Do we need a new version in order to be able to do this? If so, what is our upgrade cost?

Thank You,
Mike

Hi Mike,

I asked one of my colleagues to reply to you via email with upgrade information.

Older versions do support an SMTP interface, allowing you to send from email to SMS, but configuration is complex.

The latest version supports a shared mailbox configuration which is easier to setup. It also supports replies back from SMS to email, and can handle MMS along with SMS to email.

An email setup guide for the latest version is here: http://www.nowsms.com/email-to-sms-mms-gateway-with-nowsms

The 2011 version supports the SMS Domain Name configuration described in that document (with some limitations, such as the lack of reply support). The email related settings are on the MMSC settings page.

As a follow-up, there is a configuration issue that can occur when connecting NowSMS to Exchange Server using IMAP or POP3.

Depending on Exchange Server configuration settings, you may receive blank SMS messages. Changing the relevant configuration settings is described in more detail here:
