Yes we are facing issue while connecting Samsung Galaxy J7 with nowsms app. SMS is going through but when sending MMS we are getting below error on the phone screen.

Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped.

We will investigate. I have put a J7 on order for us to test.

The quickest solution for you at present is a different phone.

Can you send MMS ok with the client on the phone? It seems odd that the process that is crashing is an Android process. I am wondering if there is a system level problem with MMS settings on the phone.

I acquired a Samsung J7 running Android 6.0.1 for testing.

As I expected, there is no problem sending/receiving SMS and MMS via NowSMS and this device. Everything is working normally.

Version 2016.03.28

The fact that you are seeing a crash in an Android process makes me think something else is going on...like a system level problem with MMS settings on the phone. Can you send MMS ok with the client on the phone?

Hi Pankaj,

I am asking our developers for ideas and suggestions. The problem you are experiencing does not seem to be a general Android 6 problem. As I mentioned, I've tested a Samsung J7 running Android 6.0.1, and it can send/receive SMS + MMS with no problems. I've also tried Android 6 on various LG, Samsung, Moto and HTC devices, and see no MMS difficulties.

I am thinking that some setting specific issue is being encountered. I know we have exchanged messages before, so you are not new to NowSMS. I assume you have had other working Android devices. Are these working devices with a different mobile operator?

Our developers are investigating creating a debug version so that we can identify what specific action is triggering the error.

Until then, I'd also like to get a closer look at your settings to see if there is anything that might be unusual. Please enable the MMSCDEBUG.LOG, and then attempt to send an MMS. I'd like to see the MMSCDEBUG.LOG to see if it provides any clues. Either post in reply here, or send via email to nowsms@nowsms.com with Attention: Des on the subject line. If you send via email, also post a quick reply here to remind me to look for the email.

Hi Pankaj,

I have received 2 email messages from you, however neither contains the MMSCDEBUG.LOG that I requested to help troubleshoot this problem.

We need to verify that this problem is not related to somme unusual/unexpected MMS settings. The MMSCDEBUG.LOG should show us this information, if it includes one of these MMS sending attempts. Also, which mobile operator are these devices connected with?
