Hello all, recently we upgraded to the latest Nowsms gateway and we are facing some issues the bigger one is after the upgrade a new callback status SmsSend is fired when a new message arrives to nowsms form email for email to sms service. FOr some reason the callback acts like this it sends to a script and waits to see if message will be accepted for send sms and pass as paramters From which not seending the user username but an email accountof the sender! so it always takes preauth=deny Where i can change that on nowsms? to send in the preauth callback the username of smsuser and not the sender email? | |||

Hi Michael, I think you are referring to a change that was effective 2015-03-24. This change was to address an issue where customers who use accounting callbacks to determine outbound SMSC routing had no way to set the route. We added an SMS PreAuth for email to SMS to provide an opportunity to set the route. There is currently no way to change this, but we are open to suggestions.
There is no SMS user name in this scenario (unless a client uses SMTP AUTH to authenticate), therefore the sender email is used. If it helps, I suppose we could add an additional parameter to indicate email origination? -- Des NowSMS Support |
