Hi,

Not in 50 words or less, I cannot.

Maybe the "Documentation" or "Quick Start Guide" link on our web site would help you out.

I guess if I had to provide a brief explanation, I'd say that it is a software product that facilities connections to SMS and MMS service providers in order to send out SMS and MMS messages. And then I would just start repeating the text on our home page at http://support.nowsms.com/discus, which I won't bother to do here.

Is there a specific question or point that you need clarification on ... maybe that would be the best place to start?

Hi,

The Now SMS/MMS Gateway sends WAP push messages using the GSM SMS bearer. So push messages are encoded as binary GSM SMS messages, and sent through the SMS link defined to the gateway (SMSC connection or GSM modem).

Can I use SMS/MMS Gateway for Corporate business solution (e.g. included in banking system)?
If yes, how can I implement it securely within the corporate network?

I missed out one question. Does SMS/MMS gateway provide API so that other custom applications can be built to interact with it?

Hi,

Certainly you could use it for such a scenario.

There can be some question as to how secure SMS actually is, so you would want to carefully look at what information is actually transmitted over SMS. But those considerations are certainly not unique to our product.

Our API is HTTP based (you can also use SMTP, but HTTP is more flexible).

The "Sending and Receiving Messages" section at the following link has information on HTTP URL formats for sending messages:

http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/ProductDocumentation/

Receiving SMS messages, and options for routing those messages to other applications is described here:
