Hi,

On NOW MMSC I have specified the SMTP port as 25 and IP address as my machine's ip. But the SMTP port is opened on 0.0.0.0. This creates a problem with IIS SMTP service. I have to use port 25 since I need external mail agents to submit messages to NOW MMSC. How to get NOW MMSC SMTP service to listen on a specific IP address?

Hi Geetha,

I think you contacted us also via e-mail support on this issue.

The "IP Address" setting on the "MMSC" page of the configuration dialog is only observed in current product versions for the MMSC's "HTTP Port" ... and not for the "SMTP Port". The MMSC does indeed bind to all addresses on the SMTP port.

We have made a change in this area that will be effective for the v5.0 release. There is a fix that can be downloaded, but the fix applies only to the v5.0 beta release. You would need to download and install the v5.0 beta release at http://www.nowsms.com/beta5, and then the update patches for the beta at http://www.nowsms.com/download/beta2update.zip.

We plan to release a new version of the v5.0 beta release that includes all patches on Monday or Tuesday of next week.
