Anyone with experience of bulk mms with nowsms gateway? What's the best way of getting an mms sent out to more than 100,000 users. thanx for any help | |||

While not strictly necessary, I think I would submit the message to NowSMS with smaller recipient lists rather than listing all recipients in a single submission. Internally, the MMSC is setup to support up to 100,000 recipients per message, but I probably wouldn't push the limit. Instead I'd submit in smaller batches, like 10,000 (or maybe even 1,000 per submission batch). I would suggest feeding the message into the system via either MM4 (SMTP) or MM7 (SMTP can be used with v4.x, MM7 requires v5.0), as those interfaces will handle the larger load better than the proprietary HTTP POST format. -bn | |||
