Hi, great job here with nowsms.I'm niyi from nigeria, I would like 2 purchase the software soon but i already download the trial & i've ordered for a wavecom gsm modem. My question is when i insert a sim card into the gsm modem & i configure the prefix table such that it makes a post 2 a url each time an sms is received. Is the message deleted after sending the post(being processed)? or what creates space for the messages in the sim pack asssuming 20 sms are received in 1min.

IF the messages are deleted after being processed what if the internet connection is briefly down when an sms post is being processed what happens.

Hi,

The messages are deleted from the modem as they are received, so that there is not a problem with message slots filling up. They are then written to an intermediary queue (SMS-IN directory) before the HTTP command defined in the 2-way command table is executed. If the HTTP command fails (problem with the web server or problem with the network connection), the gateway will keep retrying to send the message until it receives a successful response.

And if there is such a problem executing the HTTP commands, the gateway continues receiving messages and deleting them as they are received, storing them in an intermediate queue.

I hope that helps answer your question.
