Hi

How can we create multiple connectiones Over SMPP to a same SMSC. I have options of creating 5 Multiple Sessions as the same time to 1 SMSC on SMPP. Multiple connections will help me to deliver more Output of SMS at 1 time.

isnt their any update to support live DLR over SMPP instead of just delivering reportt over SMS IN folder .. Clients have been always requesting Delivery reports which is a hassle to parse and differ from such files always..
taken into consderation Traffic is always streaming so Sender IDs arent fixed so return back path in old methods.
Can you tell me how can you get back DLR Live on SMPP.
Regards
Rahul

Hi Rahul,

To more easily support multiple connections to the same SMSC, you'll want to be using NowSMS v5.51a or later.

There's a work-around for earlier releases that involves using HOSTS files. But it is easier to just update to v5.51a.

v5.51a is a patch for v5.51. Details about it are at the following link:

http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/53/7888.html

Basically, before installing v5.51a, make sure that you do not have the same SMSC listed more than once in the SMSC list. (Because it won't be defined correctly if you do have it that way.)

Then get the v5.51a update installed, and when you define an additional connection to the same SMSC, you will see in the SMSC list that the name has been suffixed with "#2", "#3", etc.

Regarding delivery reports, currently the only way to get them routed back to the correct accounts is for sender id's to be fixed. Individual "SMS Users" accounts don't have to use a single fixed sender address ... they can use multiple. But we need the sender address to be fixed to route the message back to the right account.

We are working on an alternative solution that won't require that. But it is still in development.
