I manage to add my wavecom fastrack modem to the nowsms software, but cannot send any text messages, a later test prompts this error alert: "The modem does not support SMS" please help | |||

Check to see if the SIM card has a PIN associated with it, and if so, try removing the PIN. (Shouldn't be a problem, but worth checking.) Verify that you are configured to talk to the correct port. You might be connecting to an internal modem instead of the Wavecom modem. Try connecting to the COM port with HyperTerminal ... type ATZ and press enter, the modem should respond OK. The commands that we are sending to check if the modem supports SMS are: AT+CSMS=0 AT+CMGF=0 Do those commands return an OK response? | |||
