Hi, my case is: I have a PC that connected with 2 GSM Modems with 2 different SIM Cards (phone numbers). Also, i developed 2 applications that use NowSms Gateway to send & receive messages. I want to know how to make each application send & receive messages through one GSM Modem in parallel (simultaneously) with the other application and its other GSM Modem in the same time. (each application has its own GSM Modem). Thanks for your attention.

Select each modem individually from the "SMSC" list, and press "Properties". Assign a "Phone Number" to each modem. (This is usually the actual phone number of the modem, but it doesn't have to be, as it is used internally to NowSMS only.) When your application submits a message, include a sender address (if using HTTP, it is &Sender=xxxx). If the sender address matches the phone number associated with one of the modems, then the message will only be routed via that particular modem. -bn

Thank you for that, but i want to know if there is a way to route the incoming messages from each modem to its correspondent application (in the 2-way tab it can be done by ensuring the SMS prefix to do a specific action, but my messages doesn't require a specific prefix)?

Set the "Receive Phone Number(s)" field in the "2-way" command definition to match the "Phone Number" field defined for the modem. -bn

Maybe a used mobile phone that has a GSM modem interface? You might be able to get a used SonyEricsson T68 or T68i relatively cheap? (I like them because they have options to connect using a cable via USB or serial ... or via bluetooth or infrared.) Using a phone as a modem does have some limitations ... particularly that you can send & receive SMS, but you can only send MMS. |
