I recently purchased a Samsung E105 partly because, though not a cameraphone, it can receive MMS messages containing pictures. The salesperson led me to believe that it would be a simple task to send a small photo of my daughter from my home PC to my phone to use as a background. Well, silly me, I have found out that this is not so easy. So I was wondering, after the laughter stops, can anyone share with me how I might go about completing this not-so-simple task? :-)
Thanks in Advance.

Hi Paul,

Did the sales person give you their phone number so that you could ask them follow-up questions?

In most cases, this is a task that is not so easily accomplished.

However, based upon your e-mail address, it looks like you are in the US. Things are a little different in the US compared to the rest of the world, because in the US, you pay to both send and receive messages on your mobile phone. Outside the US, only the sender pays ... and therefore e-mail to SMS or MMS gateways are not very commonplace (because they can't charge the sender who is just an e-mail address).

If by chance you're on T-Mobile, send an e-mail message with a picture attachment (GIF or JPG recommended, scale the picture down so that it is not very big), and e-mail it to phonenumber@voicesteam.net.
