Hi, I wanted to try your "new" Linux version, but when following the "Linux Install: Terminal Access (text-based interface)" guide on a freshly installed Debian 11 server, the installation is successful and I get a temp admin password, but when logging in to the web interface, the trial has expired? I have never installed NowSMS on this server, and I have even tried spinning up a new VM and get the same result? Is it not possible to try the NowSMS Linux version after all? Thx.

Morten, If you email me (keith@nowsms.com) the Installation reference Code from the Serial Number / Licence tab I will reset the trial. Regards Keith.

Hi Morten, We have had a number of reports similar to yours, and have updated the download to fix a problem with the trial period not working properly. If you haven't already contacted Keith, please download again. Run NowSMSInstall and it should prompt to update the existing installation. If the problem still persists, follow these steps: 1.) Run NowSMS /remove from a terminal window. 2.) delete /var/lib/nowsms (command line rm -r /var/lib/nowsms) 3.) Run the updated NowSMSInstall Regards, Bryce Norwood NowSMS Support |
