Hi, Let me apologize for my English skills, I hope you can understand my problem nonetheless. In the following scenario, I am sending a long text on 650 characters, which means it will be split up into 5 SMS messages. Here's the problem: When using the Android app, this is counted as 1 message in the NowSMS system. So if i send 10 messages, it will count as 10 messages and be shown in the queue as 10 messages. This is expected behavior. When using GSM modem, it's counted as the split messages. So if i send 10 messages that is split over 5 SMS messages, the queue will show 50 messages. That is unexpected. The unexpected behavior is causing a problem with the 'Limit Message Speed' feature. If i set the limit to 5 messages per 10 minute, this works properly on the Android app. But if I set the limit same limit on the GSM modem, every part of the message is being delayed causing the delivery to fail and renders the speed limit feature completely broken. Am I doing something wrong, perhaps there is a setting that can be modified so each part of the split message isn't being counted but only the actual message in full? Thanks in advance. | |||

We have produced an update to address this issue and not apply the delay to segments of a multi part message Version 2025.02.27.. To update the Linux version, edit SMSGW.INI and under the [SMSGW] header add UpdateChannel=beta ... Reload the "Admin/System Configuration" page in the web interface, and a button should appear near the top right corner to download the update. If the update button is not shown, it may be necessary to wait a few minutes and reload the page again. you might want to remove the UpdateChannel setting after updating to avoid prompts to download future beta updates. | |||
