I installed the trial version of WAP3GX under windows/xp and found that I cannot retrieve Yahoo mail on my LX6000 cell phone. I have my own WAP server setup at my house, that I can connect to just fine. All WAP content seems to load without a problem, except actual emails in yahoo mail. I have a VX6000. I go to the main yahoo WAP page (http://wap.oa.yahoo.com), log in with my username and password, and can see any new messages, or folders just fine. But when I go to actually load one of those messages, it always sends me back to the main yahoo screen, and acts like I'm not logged in. I can do other things on the yahoo WAP fine, such as weather, finance and such. Any idea why it keeps doing this? Other users on the HoFo message board have reported the same problem and say that using other gateway software solves the problem. Is a fix available for this problem? | |||

Unfortunately I do not have any older versions of the WAP Proxy available to test with here at the moment, but I don't see any problems with those links in the current proxy (v2.5 at http://www.nowwap.com). I do seem to remember that we had a version that did not like "&" to appear in URL links. I notice those pages have that in their links, so perhaps that is what the problem is. - Kent Williams Now Wireless Support | |||

i have smart phone nokia 3660,but i don't know how to setting the e-mel on my phone.i don't know how to set the outgoing and incoming server for yahoo mail. | |||

Many phones have an embedded e-mail client that functions as a POP3 or IMAP4 e-mail client. If you don't know what your outgoing and incoming server are for Yahoo Mail, then you probably have not signed up for POP access with Yahoo which costs $19.99/year. Yahoo does have a WAP site that you can login to with the browser in your phone, and use that to read your mail. On your phone, go to http://wap.oa.yahoo.com. -bn | |||

I also have problems using Yahoo mail on my Siemens 55. After entering ID and password is am sent back with a notice that the password was incorrect. I was able to use Messenger until one week ago (the same ID and password as with mail) but now this is also not possible anymore (it is reported an error as if WML is not found????). Calling cell phone producer didn't solve anything, they jsut said taht maybe yahoo might have changed some settings and that my phone just don0t recognise them anymore. Don't know what to do more.... Any ideas? | |||

i think there is a problem with yahoo messenger now, it reports error 404 when i try to use the link on yahoo's wappage. i think the link's down for now or does anyone have a solution to this? pls mail me @ temmytommy@yahoo.com | |||

I have problems using Yahoo mail on my Nokia 6100. After entering ID and password is am sent back with a notice that the password was incorrect. I was able to use Messenger in my mobile Calling cell phone producer didn't solve anything, they jsut said that maybe yahoo might have changed some settings and that my phone just dont recognise them anymore. i have the same problem too on my sony ericcson k500i.. after i entering my user id and passorwd.. it always send me back to the user and password login page... | |||

i facing the same problem with yahoo ! it keep telling me the password or user id is wrong, problem still remain after i enable the pop service in yahoo mail. i cant get any of my mail nicely work on my k500i! | |||
