Hello if we got NOW.SMS and NOW.Wap on the same machine and nowsms is used as MMSC and now.wap as the proxy , every thing is ok but the problem is that the phone is getting wap access and they can browse the internet, how can we restrict now.wap to only forword MMS request (or request to same machine) and decline all the others.

Edit WAPGW.INI, and under the [WAPGW] header, add IncludeMsisdnConnectOnly=Yes. When this setting is present, NowWAP will only allow connections to sites that are listed in the "Content Domains to receive X-MSISDN header" list on the "MSISDN" page of the NowWAP configuration.

Hi Bryce Wanted to understand few things on the above thread. 1. mobile operators generally offer 2 kind of data options. One is where you can surf wap/wml/html sites. I believe this gives users the access to wap port and browsing port of 80. This can be done via access to wap/wsp proxy on nowwap? Or it requires some other settings. 2. other plan mobile operators gives is where you can access the full internet with all port access (for example users can access ports for email servers). Is this done via the HTTP proxy on nowwap? 3. Is it poosible that nowwap allows browsing only on the phone without "Content Domains to receive X-MSISDN header" settings? I mean disable the mobile phone to act as a modem. 4. If we create users by clicking on "require username/password for" option there are chances that the same username/password can be used on multiple mobile phones and access the nowwap proxy. How to stop that? Thanks Sam |
