We are using wap3gx to service dial in WAP requests from modems on Win NT RAS. Out phone system provides us with the caller MSISDN (which we store in a SQL server database) but we can find no documentation on how to link this with either a Radius server or get it to the gateway. Can you point us in the right direction? Our aim is to get information users who access the home page on our WAP site, although many use the connection to access the Internet so we cannot rely on users going via this page.

Hi Paul,

It has been quite awhile since I have worked with NT RAS.

When you configure RAS, you should have the option to configure RADIUS Authentication and RADIUS Accounting servers. Both of these can be pointed at the WAP gateway. (A separate RADIUS server is not required.)

I believe it is possible (at least I remember doing this with Win2K RAS in the past) to only configure RADIUS accounting, and use a separate authentication provider.

If you are still using Windows NT, note that RADIUS support was adding as an update. Please see the following link on the Microsoft support site:

I realy have some difficult to convert my XML files to WML, because I don't know which proxy I have to use in my configuration. my MMSC allow get their XML files from another Company. my VAS provider is in another area. whcich one i have to use to generatemy WML files.
