Hi,

we tried to send following PAP Request (from OMA IMPS server):
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE pap PUBLIC "-//WAPFORUM//DTD PAP 1.0//EN" "http://www.wapforum.org/DTD/pap_1.0.dtd>
<pap>
<push-message push-id="fc5e7b9e76-1683079025/Test Push">
<address address-value="WAPPUSH=+491735629174/TYPE=PLMN@ppg.operator.com"/>
</push-message>
</pap>
--EndOfOneEntity
Content-Type: application/vnd.wv.csp.cir
X-WAP-Application-Id: x-wap-application:wv.ua

WVCI 1.2 siemens.com#1234#001

--EndOfOneEntity--

The request is accepted by the proxy the SMS with following content is send to the mobile:
0x06 0x05 0x04 0x0B 0x84 0x23 0xF0 0x71
0x06 0x1E 0x36 0x61 0x70 0x70 0x6C 0x69
0x63 0x61 0x74 0x69 0x6F 0x6E 0x2F 0x76
0x6E 0x64 0x2E 0x77 0x76 0x2E 0x63 0x73
0x70 0x2E 0x63 0x69 0x72 0x00 0xAF 0x8A
0x57 0x56 0x43 0x49 0x20 0x31 0x2E 0x32
0x20 0x73 0x69 0x65 0x6D 0x65 0x6E 0x73
0x2E 0x63 0x6F 0x6D 0x23 0x31 0x32 0x33
0x34 0x23 0x30 0x30 0x31 0x0A
:  „#ðq6appli
: cation/vnd.wv.cs
: p.cir
: siemens.com#123
: 4#001

It seems to us that the gateway generate a wrong content because the content type is encoded as
Content-Type: 6application/vnd.wv.csp.cir
instead of
Content-Type: application/vnd.wv.csp.cir

Can you please check this problem? Thanks!

Hi Gregor,

Apologies for the delay in response. This is a NowSMS issue rather than a NowWAP issue.

Basically, it does appear that you are correct and there is a problem encoding the content type for some PAP requests.

I will attempt to contact you via e-mail with an update. If you do not receive an e-mail, please send an e-mail to nowsms@now.co.uk with "Attention Bryce" in the subject line, referencing this problem.
