From a tech support e-mail:

quote:

I have a question regarding RADIUS. nowWAP is receiving radius accounting packets from the GPRS radius. In the event that for any reason a response is not received by the Radius, it switches its mode of operation to Radius Status Server to monitor whether the connection is established. Therefore, if the built in Radius of nowWAP is not capable to handle such packets, the GPRS will not know that the connection has been re-established.

Is nowWAP capable to handle such requests?

It is strange that this RADIUS “Status-Server” protocol would be required in a production environment, as it only seems to be documented by an expired internet draft: http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-radext-status-server-09

An update version of NowWAP that provides a response to “Status-Server” requests is avaialable for download at:

http://www.nowsms.com/download/wapgw20111111.zip

If you download the file, do NOT uninstall your current installation, just run the .exe on the computer running your current NowWAP Proxy.

If you purchased a WTLS version, do not run this update, but contact us if you require a version with RADIUS status server support.
