Hi

I have developed my WAP client , which is running on a phone.I need to test it.Can i use Now.WAP gateway.

How will the test setup look like ?Please explain

There's not really much to explain, assuming that you understand the technology of the WAP client that you have developed.

A WAP gateway is basically a specialised proxy server.

When you install Now.WAP, the service automatically listens for WAP connections on UDP ports 9200 and 9201. (I recommend using connection-oriented mode on port 9201 because that is the only way you can transfer larger objects.)

So your client needs to establish IP connectivity, and then send its WAP requests to the IP address of the proxy.

If you are using a WAP2/HTTP interface, then the TCP port number on the Now.WAP proxy is configurable, and you need to set that port number before that interface will be active. But, as the UDP port is fixed, that part is automatically started with no configuration required.

I am working on WAP testing of WAP browser for a NOKIA HANDSET ...
Can you give me some information and guidelines in testing the WAP user agents .And i want know that how many such WAP testing are there on which base we can classify these testing ?
