I am unable to get the MMS capability of the NowSMSLite product to work. I have previously been able to send with the full product. Sim is Vodafone UK. The sim is ok, I have send and received MMS from a test phone. I enclose the SMSGW.INI file settings for reference. This is most urgent for our development testing (and most frustrating). SMS works fine. Hi Neil, What happens when you try to send an MMS message? The easiest way for me to see what is going on is if you post debug logs after a sending attempt. (MMSWAPDEBUG.LOG and MMSCDEBUG.LOG) -- Des NowSMS Support | |||||

It looks like your signal strength might be weak, as I see connection failures and retries. Adjusting the location of the modem might make a difference. Also, try changing the "WAP Gateway Address" in the settings to this value: http://212.183.137.12:8799 Include the "http://" prefix. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||||

I've move the aerial to a higher location and made the amendments recommended. I am a little confused as to why a modem in the same position and with the same credentials fails using the lite version of the product, but was ok with the full version. I enclose logs.

I realise it is frustrating. But right now, the data connection is failing on the modem. The modem is not able to establish a data connection. The same thing would happen with lite or full version of NowSMS. From the NowSMS perspective, at this level, all we can do is tell the modem the APN, and ask it to connect for us. Based upon the earlier logs, this error appears to be sporadic. That's why I think it is a signal strength issue. The earlier log showed one failed connection, followed by a connection where there were a lot of retries sending data. Reseting the modem (power off, then back on) might also help. I don't have any experience with that particular modem, so I can't rule out a modem in a confused state either. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||||

I have reset all this morning. I have checked the signal strength using the Teltonika Modem control console - it is at 70%. Sending an SMS is ok, sending an MMS fails instantly with 718 error, which surpsrises me as this is a failure to respond in a timely manner - but the gateway failed instantly. I enclose logs for diagnosis.
