I have a problem with messages being sent/received from a specific user. I have 7 users defined on the gateway. The 7th in the list is the one I wish to use for main system testing and so have configured inbound messages to be routed to this user.

All outbaound messages are sitting on the queue, whilst others from other users are processed. And inbound messages are not delivered.

I enclose the logs for reference.

SMSOUT-20091214.LOG (17.6 k)

Hi Neil,

I'm sorry, but it is not clear to me what messages are stuck. (And as I mentioned in the other thread, it is not clear to me where they are stuck. Are they in the outbound Q folder pending outbound delivery, or are they pending delivery to a local user account via SMPP?)

It would help me to see the SMSGW.INI configuration which will show me the routing definitions.

But to make sense of any of it, I need to know what messages are having a problem ... i.e., who is sending to who ... what user account?

The messages are sitting in the Q, there does not seem to have been any attempt to deliver. They should be going out to the modem. The recipient number is the same as a number of other messages that have been delivered. At present we hve 2 in this state, but we have had 10's of messages just sitting in the Q not being processed at all.

I enclose the Q file and the ini file for reference.

to be clear - they are in the outbound Q folder. There appears to be no attempt to deliver, other messages do go out from other users, there is not a massive load on this gateway.

There is garbage in the SMSGW.INI file that is causing a routing conflict.

Manually remove this entire section:

[Modem - Teltonika ModemCOM G10]

Delete from that line, up to the line right before [Inbound SMS Routing]

The NowSMS Lite configuration program should have removed this section automatically, but it looks like there are situations where it does not.

It is confusing the server, making the server think that messages with that sender address should go out via "Teltonika ModemCOM G10", not "Teltonika ModemCOM G10 #2".
