We have an AT&T USBConnect Mercury Card...Installed on a laptop running Windows 7.

For this card, there is an issue with virtual com ports being assigned: http://blog.nowsms.com/2009/09/send-and-receive-sms-and-mms-with_225.html

That is OK, we have identified the COM port that we need for AT commands (which works in the full version)........However, in the “Lite” version...it only gives the option for the driver (Sierra HSPA Modem....).......no choice to specify COM port.

How can we configure the Lite version to utilize the proper port? .Ini file possibly??

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Install the "Standard 33600 bps Modem" to use with the COM port as it mentions toward the end of that article.

The Lite version doesn't support the direct COM port connection in order to simplify support issues. There's no real loss of functionality, however, as a modem driver can be manually added in Windows.
