Hello, I'm currently testing NowSMS Lite and facing an issue with 2-way sms command processor : The modem is an android phone. I configure an http command to forward incoming SMS to a web site. It's working great with text SMS, but if there is an Emoji in the SMS body, the message is not forwarded at all. NowSms keeps trying to send it, but no success. Could it be related to UTF-16 encoding not playing well with 2-way command processor ? Am I missing something ? Thank in advance for your help !

Hi Eric, I'm guessing your script is returning an error because it can't parse the characters. I tried a test with echo.php from http://www.nowsms.com/now-sms-native-php-scripts and it works. I'd suggest enabling the SMSDEBUG.LOG to see the URL that NowSMS is generating so that you can run some manual tests. Do regular accented characters work? If not, it is possible your command expects iso-8859-1 (ANSI) text encoding. -- Des NowSMS Support

Hello, Thanks for the insights ! Problem solved, it was indeed the backend fault. It was returning an error due to Mysql not accepting to store UTF16 characters ! Thanks again for your help, and congratulations for your great app :-) Regards. Eric |
