Hello, Here is my problem and how I resolved it. Sorry in advance for my poor english, hope I make it clear enough : I am using NowSMS 5.51d to send and receive SMS. I have set it up to work with a WAP1.0 gateway, without problem. I use a GPRS/Edge modem and I let NowSMS create and handle the DUN connection by selecting directly the GPRS Modem. (In MMS Settings and MMS Routing, Network Connection : I choose my GPRS modem instead of a manually created DUN connection) I have noticed that connection created by NowSMS doesn't check "use default gateway on remote network" but it works fine, NowSMS start the GPRS connection, and add a new route to the WAP 1.0 Gateway IP Address. Next, I tried it with a WAP 2.0 Gateway (in fact, an HTTP proxy). So I set the WAP Gateway IP to : http://myip:port and let the others settings intact. When I click Test Connection, I get an error "Gateway could not be contacted". If I do a "route print" when the connection is opened, it seems there is no route to the WAP 2.0 Gateway IP. So I created a DUN connection in which I checked "use default gateway on remote network" (TCP IP Properties, Advanced TCP/IP Settings, General tab), and choose this connection in NowSMS. Now the connection test is OK. So I think route creation process failed when an HTTP WAP 2.0 Gateway is specified. An update for NowSMS v5.51 (any subversion) has been uploaded to address the issue discussed in this thread. The update patch is available at http://www.nowsms.com/download/latestpatch.zip. To install this update, unzip the attached files into the NowSMS program directory, and use them to replace the existing files of the same name. This update is for the v5.51 release of the Now SMS/MMS Gateway product only. Applying these updates to other versions may cause unpredictable results. Remember to stop the NowSMS services before attempting to install these updates. Specific details regarding the issue discussed in this thread: * MMS/MM1 via Operator MMSC: Fix for HTTP/WAP2 proxy connections reporting "unable to connect to WAP gateway" because of routing definitions. (Note: To define an HTTP/WAP2 proxy connection, specify http://ip.addresS:port in the "WAP Gateway IP Address" field. Note that if you are using multiple GSM/GPRS modems to connect to the same mobile operator, we recommend using standard WAP/WSP proxy connections for best results.) | |||
