Hi, I need to specify authentication for the outgoing smtp connections. where can I do this? I can only find the entry for the host address of the smtp relay host and no user/password fields. Thanks in advance, Wolfgang | |||

Hi Wolfgang, Apologies for the delay in response. There is presently no configuration option to allow for this. However, we are in the process of adding such an option in the next patch release. I will post an update here when this is available. -bn | |||

An update for NowSMS v5.51 (any subversion) has been uploaded to address the issue discussed in this thread. The update patch is available at http://www.nowsms.com/download/latestpatch.zip. To install this update, unzip the attached files into the NowSMS program directory, and use them to replace the existing files of the same name. This update is for the v5.51 release of the Now SMS/MMS Gateway product only. Applying these updates to other versions may cause unpredictable results. Remember to stop the NowSMS services before attempting to install these updates. Specific details regarding the issue discussed in this thread: * MMSC: Add configuration parameters for specifying a username and password for SMTP Authentication on the "SMTP Relay Host" that is configured for outbound SMTP e-mail delivery. These parameters must be manually defined in the MMSC.INI file, under the [MMSC] header: RelayHostUsername=xxxxx and RelayHostPassword=xxxxx. | |||
