We are evaluating nowSMS for a client project. We'd like to be able to receive images and use them in a related application we are creating. We were able to easily set up nowSMS with a T-Mobile GSM modem and receive SMS messages. We set up commands to send the message through a web app into a database.

However, when we send MMS messages with photos to the modem, we always get an SMS message telling us we can download the images from a T-Mobile picture album website.

Is this a result of improperly setting up nowSMS or is it something T-Mobile needs to change?

Thanks,
JC

This happens if T-Mobile believe that the equipment into which their SIM card is inserted is not capable of handling an MMS (picture) message. Presumably this is so that users of older phones aren't bothered by messages that they can't display. The way you let T-Mobile know that your equipment is capable of receiving MMS is by sending an MMS message using the SIM card - quickest way is to try swapping it into suitably unlocked phone and sending a picture message.
