Hi Support team
some of our cusomer complain regarding the sending of vcf card.
i did a test and effectively , when you send a VCF card , there's an error message on the sender mobile saying that the sending is impossible.
I did some troubleshooting :
- i don't see the message on MMS -DATE .log
- i did take a trace and i get see the POST message , the htttp response is 200 so no error.

i will send you the trace directly by email due to GDPR matter.
is there any limitation regarding vcf attachment ?

thankbeforehand for your support ,

Hi Marc,

The underlying problem does not seem to be related to the type of content. This user would have a problem sending any type of MMS message.

The MMS send confirmation response from the MMSC is reporting an error “Sending address unresolved”, which means that we cannot resolve the sender address for this message.

There is no X-MSISDN header present in the request, but perhaps that is being retrieved via ICAP, which would require reviewing a trace of that activity. (The ICAP request contains the client IP address in the X-Client-IP: header, and if the ICAP server has information on that IP address, it would return a revised HTTP header that contains the sender MSISDN in the X-MSISDN header.)

I hope that helps.

Hi Des
You are totally right , regarding the x-MSISDN.
i did take a trace and when i send a jpeg , the header enrichment is done , but when i send a vcf card it doesn't.
the issue is deeper strange because , i can see iphone sending vcf card but when it is samsung by example , it failed.
i did ask to our data core network to see why the header enrichment is not performed in this case.
Thanks a lot for your advice ,
Br
Marc
