Hello Support, I have been using nowsms for many years. Lately we upgraded to the latest 2022.10.03 I can successfully send emailtosms by using telnet, but i am unable to send emailtosms using thunderbird or any other application/script that can send auth emails. Hi Dinos, We think we see the issue...a change related to a security issue for a customer who did not like that the server. allowed cleartext aiuth inadvertantly broke this feature (it should have been disabled only by a cofiguration setting. A preliminary update has been uploaded to https://nowsms.com/download/mmscdinos.zip which should fix this prjoblem. This ZiP file includes only an updated mmsc.exe. Stop the NowSMS MMSC service and manually copy the replacement mmmsc.exe into the NowSMS directory, then restart the service. Regards, Bryce Norwood NowSMS Support | |||

Hello Bryce and thank you for your reply, Unfortunately it does not seem to work. Thunderbird never asks for a password probably because i dont see AUTH LOGIN??? Enabling TLS would solve this? Hi Dinos, I'm sorry, but I made a mistake and put the wrong updated mmsc.exe into that ZIP file. You are correct, you should see AUTH LOGIN in the response to the EHLO command.
