Hello,

Can I change the file size limit? I have a video file that is 2 mg and that should be able to be sent. I can send it from my phone.

No issues.

I assume this question is in regards to sending MMS via an MM1 modem connection, where there is a default limit of 2MB, which can be changed.

In the Linux version of NowSMS, edit MMSC.INI and under the [VASPOUT-routename] section header, add MaxSize=######, where the size limit ###### is in KB, and defaults to 2048.

In the Windows version of NowSMS, edit VASPOUT\routename\VASP.INI, and under the [VASP] header, add MaxSize=######, where the size limit ###### is in KB, and defaults to 2048.

Thanks. Trying to send a video file .mp4 its 2mgs and I have the limit set to 4mg and its keeps failing.

Can you send mp4 or does it need to be a different format?

What and where is the failure? Is it just not arriving on the destination device? If so, it's most likely because your message exceeds the allowed size for destination carrier's network. I don't know where you're located, but in the US, the major carriers all have their own limits. For best chance at delivery, the MMS attachmens should be under 1MB or less. If your sender is a toll-free number, the cap is even lower, 600KB or less.

Cheers,
