Hi Guys,

Here's the problem... I was only given a MMS proxy gateway... here's the URL

http://202.138.159.67/mms/default.aspx

As I browsed now.sms MMSC tab I was asked to enter several settings that I don't know how to fill it in to be able to send MMS...

Can someone please assist me on this?

Thanks in advance

Hi Pancho,

I'm sorry, but I don't know how to answer your question, because I don't know what type of server it is that you are connecting to.

You need to ask your provider for more details.

For starters, what protocol ... I'm assuming it must be MM7 or EAIF.

You'll also need to know how they authenticate you, if you need to supply a username and password in an "Authorization:" header ... or if they expect particular "VASP ID" or "VAS ID" fields? (Or maybe they just authenticate you based upon IP address, and none of this is necessary.)

Basically, you need some information from your provider.

They said we should use PAP and the authentication is based in our IP address no need for an account name or password... is the protocol PAP applicable in Now SMS?

Thanks in advance

Hi Pancho,

PAP (Push Access Protocol) is used for WAP Push, so I don't understand.

It could be used in this scenario if you were acting as your own MMSC, and you send the MMS notifications via PAP to a Push Proxy Gateway instead of having NowSMS deliver them directly over SMS.

We have a configuration option to support this, described at the following link: http://www.nowsms.com/support/bulletins/tb-nowsms-007.htm

But, somehow I don't think that is what they are talking about. I'd suggest asking for more information, because PAP is not a standard protocol for this type of connection.
