Hi We're about to develope and app for a campaign for the new Siemens MC60 phone. Participants should send in a MMS with 1 picture and a text. Nowsms receives the MMS but theres only a *.jpg file and a *.smil file. Theres not the expected *.txt file containing the text part of the MMS. This is a huge problem, because then there's no way to identify the MMS and picture. What can be the problem? In hope for help Regards Peter Meldgaard | |||

Hi Peter, It certainly sounds like there is not a text part present. But perhaps we are having a problem decoding it. I'd suggest enabling the debug log in the SMS gateway component (which receives MMS because of the way that MMS notifications are received over SMS). Manually edit SMSGW.INI, and add Debug=Yes under the [SMSGW] section header. Restart the gateway service. Send in one of those MMS messages, and a hex dump of the message should appear in the SMSDEBUG.LOG when it is received. Post or e-mail (to nowsms@now.co.uk) that log file, and I will examine to see what is occurring. -bn | |||
