The documentation states... "Note that you can still not use an MMS compatible phone as a GSM modem if you want to be able to receive MMS messages through the gateway." My phone has a b&w small screen and cannot receive MMS messages so I assmued it would work with the gateway to receive MMS messages. Am I incorrect? I can't get it to work. Jake. | |||

Hi Jake, No. Basically if the phone supports WAP Push, it won't work for receiving MMS messages via the GSM/GPRS modem interface. The reason for this is because MMS notifications are delivered via WAP Push ... so the WAP Push client in the phone receives the MMS notification, doesn't have an MMS client registered to receive it, and discards the message. WAP Push support started becoming commonplace in mobile phones slightly before GPRS became a standard feature. So you're unlikely to find an old phone that will work in this capacity. -bn | |||
