Hi,

I want to install 2 (maybe more) Aircard 750 modems, each with a different carriers SIM for sending/receiving MMS's. I have the NowSMS working with a single card, but wonder if there will be any issues using multiple Aircards due to using the 'Network:' connection type in MMS settings? Are there any tricks I should use to get this working, or is it a no go? Would it be better to use a different type of modem if I want to have multiple modems installed?

Or better still will it just work :-)

Thanks,

John

BTW great software, and the postings on this board have really helped!

Hi John,

I can't say that I've tried it. I wouldn't expect a problem on the NowSMS side, as we have tested multiple "Network:" type connections, and Windows is going to force them to have separate names.

The question is whether the Sierra drivers are going to have an issue with this. The problem area that I would see is the "Watcher" application, and whether or not it can handle it. As you know, we recommend against running "Watcher" while the gateway is active, but it is necessary to use it during initial setup to configure the default GPRS APN and auto-connect settings.

Hi Bryce,

Thanks for that. I think I'll just get another Aircard and try it out - I can always sell it on eBay if it doesn't work out! I'll let you know how I get on, and may be back for some advice next week.

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

I was wondering if you were successful in your attempt to install multiple Sierra modems. I'm trying to do the same thing I get driver conflicts (windows 2000 and xp).
